Hall of Famers joined students, sports teams, staff and community members for the annual Homecoming Parade throughout the neighborhood. The Junior ROTC and Albany Marching Falcons led the parade, which wound through the streets around the school and ended up at Albany High’s new turf field. The premiere comic book, and collectibles show in the Capital district of upstate New York. The show features comic books for collectors of all ages. Step into the living room with the wood-burning fireplace and more Albany Institute "Recycle Your Art Show" paintings wherever you turn. A door in the floor hides a wine cellar in the basement. The black and white checkerboard floor in the foyer seems timeless and the grandeur continues with the art — mostly from the Albany Center Gallery — along the walls. The Mansion District, an Italian neighborhood, had several different social clubs for different regions of Italy, Katz said; Harris and Katz were told the upstairs of the building was the Abbruzzese Club. The nearby St. Anthony's Church was built on Grand Street in 1907 to serve the growing Italian community in Albany.
The district serves nearly 9,700 students in 18 elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to neighborhood schools, the district includes several magnet schools and programs, as well as other innovative academic opportunities for students, including four themed academies at Albany High School. Based in Upstate New York, Christian N. St. Pierre has been a freelance artist for over 20 years. An illustrator, character designer, concept artist, sequential artist, and graphic designer, he is best known for his Topps Star Wars Sketch Cards and private commissions. Using a mixture of traditional and digital media, he has created artwork for table top games, independent comics, book covers, magazines, and collectibles. The day's events began with the unveiling of the City School District of Albany Wall of Fame. The wall contains names of the 79 members of the Hall of Fame, including the eight that were inducted on Friday night. Learn about the 2017 Hall of Fame class here. Ron Marz has been writing comics for 30 years, and amassed credits at every major publisher, including lengthy runs on Marvel and DC titles. With more than 1,000 comics published, his array of credits includes Silver Surfer, Green Lantern, Witchblade, Star Wars, Batman, Superman, and many more, as well as inventive creator-owned work. He has literally decades of experience in visual storytelling.

Comics Alliance honored Janice Chiang as Outstanding Letterer of 2016 and ComicBook.com gave her the 2017 Golden Issue Award for Lettering. In May 2017, Janice Chiang was featured as one of 13 women who have been making comics since before the internet on the blog Women Write About Comics. She was also quoted in a New York Times article about veteran Marvel inker Joe Sinnott. Come as your favorite Cosplay superstars, comic book and movie characters!
My hobbies include druming for a Kiss Tribute band called Revenge, and trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle by going to the gym at least 5 days a week. Born in a crossfire hurricane , Richard P. Clark’s illustration career began in 1993 while still an undergraduate at The Columbus College of Art and Design . Since then, he has worked for a variety of clients in the editorial, book, advertising, institutional and comic industries. For more than four decades 20,000+ attendees and 300 exhibitors gather to do business together. Thanks for all that helped make the show such a success this year!
This event is professional program which put stress on bringing the trades and the productions together through by the organizers of the show. Working primarily as an inker, Joe Sinnott is best known for his long stint on Marvel Comics’ Fantastic Four, from 1965 to 1981 , initially over the pencils of Jack Kirby. During his 60 years as a Marvel freelance artist and then salaried artist working from home, Sinnott inked virtually every major title, with notable runs on The Avengers, The Defenders, and Thor.
